Dr. Jessica E. Green is a native of Augusta, Georgia. After graduating from high school, she attained her bachelor’s degree in social work from Benedict College. Dr. Green became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. at Benedict College in the Fall of 2004. She is currently a financial and active member of the Rho Epsilon Zeta chapter of Marietta / North Fulton, Ga. Dr. Green also has her master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. After completing her master’s degree, Dr. Green moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she pursued her career in the field of Social Work. Dr. Green has 17 years of experience working with various populations, such as HIV & AIDS, the Department of Juvenile Justice, the child welfare system, Intensive Family Intervention programs, Veterans, and homelessness. She has been certified as a trainer in Crisis Prevention Intervention and Mental Health First Aid.
Dr. Green currently serves in various community nonprofits, starting as the Director of Professional Assisting Youth (PAY), which is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing professional mentoring services and communit
workshops that inspire and empower young adults to make positive life choices. Dr. Green is currently the board President for PurpoSeed, a non-profit that brings purpose, joy, and meaningful connections to the aged community. Lastly, Dr. Green is the Social Worker at Atlanta Mission’s Restoration House, where she serves the unhoused community, connecting them to resources for physical and mental healthcare services, housing, and employment. Dr. Green’s life motto that she uses daily is, “I Aspire, to Inspire, before I Expire” – author unknown.
